Dr. Tim Rushton
Lehigh Career & Technical Institute (LCTI)
After a successful career in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Rushton joined the education community advancing from Teacher to eventually Executive Director of the Lehigh Career & Technical Institute (LCTI). As Executive Director, Dr. Rushton is responsible for one of the largest career and technical schools in the United States serving nine public high schools in the Lehigh Valley. LCTI offers a variety of programs to all of its students as well as offering full day academics in their Academic Center.
During his tenure in education, Dr. Rushton has taught Biology and General Science was appointed to the position of Assistant Principal at Pocono Mountain West Junior High School and soon advanced to both Principal and then Director of Columbia-Montour Vocational-Technical School. After a successful tenure at Columbia-Montour Vocational-Technical School, Dr. Rushton accepted the position of Director at Monroe Career & Technical Institute and in 2013 Dr. Rushton was appointed as Director of Career & Technical Education at Lehigh Career & Technical Institute and in October 2015 was appointed Executive Director.
Dr. Rushton earned a Doctorate in Educational Administration from Temple University as well as a Master's Degree in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Scranton. Dr. Rushton also holds Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent Letters of Eligibility. He also holds Vocational Director and Principal Certifications. Dr. Rushton is also certified in Biology and General Science Instructional areas.
