Populytics Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Lehigh Valley Health Network, promoted three employees and hired one person. Laura Mertz was promoted to associate executive director of the Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Organization/Valley Preferred. Mertz is responsible for the management of business activity, payer-provider relationships and the LVPHO’s internal operations. She will continue her leadership role in strategy and business development; marketing and sales; and provider and payer services for Populytics. Mark Ungvarsky was promoted to vice president of payer and provider informatics. Ungvarsky was instrumental in developing the technology and infrastructure that enables the company and its parent, LVHN, to enter into value-based reimbursement relationships with insurance providers. Stacey Asbell was promoted to vice president, operations and health plan management. Asbell leads a multidisciplinary team in ongoing assessment of plan experience, health outcomes and determinants. Ryan J. Arnold was hired as director, payer contracting. Ryan is responsible for oversight of all managed care contracting for LVHN, Lehigh Valley Physician Group and the Lehigh Valley Physician Hospital Organization.
