Rentokil Steritech of Reading, one of the country’s largest pest control companies, recently acquired companies in Louisiana and Wisconsin, part of its expansion in markets across the country.
The two latest acquisitions are Fischer Environmental Services Inc., Mandeville, La., and Batzner Pest Control Inc., New Berlin, Wis.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
In May, Rentokil acquired Connor’s Termite and Pest Control of Springfield, Va. The deal with Batzner closed in June.
Fischer, which serves the greater New Orleans area, was founded in 1984 by Bob Kunst, a member of the Louisiana Pest Control Board. Kunst, his management team and employees will continue to run the operation, Rentokil said in a statement.
Batzner serves the Milwaukee metro area and parts of Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota and northern Illinois. A family owned company founded in 1946, Batzner’s serves residential and commercial customers, including some of the area’s key education, food processing, resort and health care companies. Batzner’s has more than 165 employees, including 25 managers and 100 technicians.
Rentokil Steritech, part of Rentokil North America, is one of the country’s largest pest control companies. It is a division of Rentokil Initial PLC, headquartered in Camberley, England, which operates in more than 65 countries.
Rentokil Steritech owns regional pest control brands, including Ehrlich Pest Control of Reading, which was the fourth largest pest control company in the United States when Rentokil bought it for a reported $142 million in 2006.
