U-Haul Company of Pennsylvania said that that Ole Laundromat Tilghman has signed on as a U-Haul neighborhood dealer to serve the Allentown community. Ole Laundromat at 1326 W. Tilghman St. will offer U-Haul trucks, trailers, towing equipment, support rental items and in-store pickup for boxes.

The KingSpry Law Firm in Bethlehem said four of its attorneys were appointed to boards in July. Dorota Gasienica-Kozak was named chair of the board of governors for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. Jessica F. Moyer was named president of the Foundation for the Bethlehem Area School District. Jonathan M. Huerta was elected president of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce LGBT Business Council. Matthew T. Tranter was named chair of the board for the local chapter of the American Heart Association.

The law firm of Norris McLaughlin & Marcus in Allentown said R. Nicholas Nanovic, a member of the firm, has been named president of the Estate Planning Council of the Lehigh Valley for 2017-2018. The council, founded in 1967, is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, offering continuing education and networking opportunities to assist members in serving clients.

Nicole Chupa, a Certified Public Accountant and manager with Buckno Lisicky & Co. in Bethlehem, was named to the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Rosemary Lamaestra, a CPA manager with RLB Accountants in Allentown, was named a trustee of the scholarship fund of the organization.

Barley Snyder of Reading said partner Michael L. Mixell has been named to the board of directors at the Berks County Community Foundation. Mixell has worked with the foundation for years professionally and on a volunteer basis.

 

Honors

Previously named this year’s Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Lehigh Valley Man of the Year, Luke Jaindl, manager of Jaindl Farms and A-Treat Beverage Co. in Orefield, was also honored as the National Man of the Year Runner-up after raising $329,806 toward the LLS mission to cure blood cancers. Over the course of a 10-week fundraising period, Jaindl was one of 16 Lehigh Valley candidates to collectively raise $728,202.

Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network, headquartered in Allentown, is one of four facilities internationally to be named a “Center of Robotic Excellence” by Ekso Bionics, an industry leader in exoskeleton technology for medical and industrial use. As early adopters of leading-edge exoskeleton technology, the designated centers have committed to provide peer-to-peer support to train other facilities interested in becoming proficient in innovative approaches to rehabilitation.

 

Real Estate

NAI Summit of South Whitehall Township said agent Matt Dorman represented the owner of 1651 N. Cedar Crest Blvd. in South Whitehall Township in a long-term lease transaction with Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network. The almost 20,000-square-foot Class A condominium is used as a rehabilitation center providing physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, aquatic, pediatric therapy and other services.
