Manderino exits L&I for gaming board

Kathy Manderino is leaving her job as secretary of the state's Department of Labor & Industry to take a three-year turn as a commissioner on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

The move takes effect Aug. 1, according to a press release from the office of Gov. Tom Wolf.

Manderino will be replaced by Robert O'Brien, who will be the acting secretary at L&I. He is currently the department's executive deputy secretary.
