Westgate Global Logistics, a third-party logistics freight management company in Bethlehem Township, promoted Mark Fiorini to president.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Fiorini is a certified transportation broker. He is a member of the Transportation Intermediaries Association, Institute for Supply Chain Management and the Traffic Club of the Lehigh Valley.
Fiorini said he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2004 and worked with his brother in a landscaping business for a number of years, then began working at Westgate Global in 2012 where he handled sales and customer service.
Before the end of 2015, he became vice president – under the company’s president, Thomas Fiorini, who is Mark’s father. One of 10 children, Mark Fiorini said he is the only sibling who works for the company.
With Fiorini now president, Thomas Fiorini is the company’s chairman and serves as a mentor.
“I’ll still be involved in the business aspects,” Mark Fiorini said. “One thing I think we really do well is we are a family owned company and we provide that value-add for customers. We are committed to responding to the needs of our customers.”
The company, which has seven employees, has served shippers throughout the nation for 34 years and made more than $5 million in service revenue in 2015 and set its goal for $6 million in 2016, which Fiorini said the company achieved.
“We’d like to maintain that growth,” Fiorini said. “I definitely continue to see this to be a busy area for logistics and transportation, it’s turned into a distribution hub. It’s a good spot for logistics.”
