It's been a busy third of the year for Lehigh Valley Business, which is being sold, along with its parent company, to GateHouse Media of Pittsford, N.Y.
But to be sure, Lehigh Valley Business, now in its 27th year, isn’t going anywhere – except to a new office, that is. And even that isn’t much of a move, in terms of distance.
In a relocation that has been planned since late last year, LVB’s offices in Bethlehem are moving three flights downstairs in the same office building.
Our new address, effective this Monday, April 25, will be 65 E. Elizabeth Ave., Suite 400, Bethlehem, PA 18018. The 10-story building, across from the Moravian College football stadium, is being renovated, and we’re using the opportunity to move into a newly built and designed suite.
As noted, we’re also getting new owners, with GateHouse Media buying Harrisburg-based Journal Multimedia, our parent company, in a deal expected to close in the next couple or several weeks.
To that end, we’ve been hearing from people in the Greater Lehigh Valley about what that could mean for Lehigh Valley Business.
We expect that it will mean business as usual, except with access to greater resources, as GateHouse owns hundreds of newspapers and specialty publications in more than 30 states across America.
At Lehigh Valley Business, we’ll still be publishing daily and weekly email newsletters.
We’ll still be turning out our Monday print edition and special publications and inserts.
And we’ll still be putting on great events, such as our upcoming Women of Influence ceremony on May 11.
To be certain, there will be some change at some point; we were always changing anyway, striving to improve and to do better for our readers, sponsors and advertisers.
Through it all, though, our mission in the newsroom will not change: We’ll still try to cover Greater Lehigh Valley business like the dew covers the ground in the morning.
