2015 Women of Influence winners named

By ,

Twenty-eight women from the Greater Lehigh Valley today were named 2015 Women of Influence honorees by Lehigh Valley Business.

Cited for their contributions to their company, industry and community, they will be recognized at the third annual Women of Influence awards ceremony May 19 at Cedar Crest College in Allentown.

Each of the honorees has a solid reputation based on her experience, integrity and leadership, along with a proven track record of accomplishments. An independent panel of judges reviewed the nominees and gave them scores based on their achievements.

“This year’s honorees come from a diverse group of industries from all over the Greater Lehigh Valley,” said publisher Mike O’Rourke of Lehigh Valley Business, which created the initiative to honor woman business leaders. “Each has made a significant impact on their business and community.”

Included are three special awards:

  • Andrea Funk, CEO of Cambridge-Lee Industries LLC in Ontelaunee Township, earned the Community Service Award for dedicating a significant amount of time, energy and expertise to helping Greater Lehigh Valley organizations thrive.
  • Lisa Fichera of Phoebe Ministries in Allentown earned the Lifetime Achievement Award for committing her life to making the Greater Lehigh Valley a great place to work and live.
  •  Lauren Smith of Eleven Eleven Social LLC in Allentown earned the Woman to Watch honor, presented to someone 30 or younger who steps up to help shape the Greater Lehigh Valley of tomorrow.

The presenting sponsor for the event is Cedar Crest College, site of the awards luncheon. Snyder & Wiles PC and FGV Media also are sponsors.
