PPL drops price to compare for business, residential customers

Small businesses could get price break on electricity next month

PPL Electric Utilities of Allentown has posted its quarterly price to compare for customers who rely on the utility to buy electric supply on their behalf.

Effective Sept. 1, the new price to compare for small-business customers will be 8.785 cents per kilowatt-hour. Presently, it is 9.585 cents per kilowatt-hour.

The new price to compare for residential customers will be 8.814 cents per kilowatt-hour. Presently, it is 9.036 cents per kilowatt-hour.

Business and home consumers can find more information on shopping for energy supply on the Public Utility Commission’s website, www.papowerswitch.com.
