United Fiber & Data, a York-based telecommunications firm that has its sales office in Downtown Allentown, has appointed a leadership team.
The company hired Michael Tribolet, former president of Vonage, as its acting chief executive officer.
Joining Tribolet will be Brian Mass, acting chief financial officer, and Charles Gaspari, business development adviser.
The team will immediately transition into their roles, joining chief operating officer Chris Lodge in daily operations.
United Fiber & Data is a private entity owned by an investment group that includes members of the multiplatinum rock band LIVE, racing legend Michael Andretti of Nazareth and Boston Bruins principal Charlie Jacobs.
The company recently began construction of a 13-mile metro fiber ring in Lower Manhattan that interconnects with the city’s largest hotel carriers. The company has secured a plethora of long-term contracts with some of the industry’s top clients. The company also plans to break ground this year for its first Tier-4 data center in York. UFD is building a diverse long-haul fiber backbone that extends from Manhattan to Ashburn, Va.
Its sales headquarters is in Butz Corporate Center on Hamilton Street in Allentown.
