A new website dedicated to helping breastfeeding mothers is launching out of the Small Business Development Center in Reading and Kutztown University.

The business, Pretty Mama Breastfeeding, can be found at www.prettymb.com.

It is being run by Elizabeth Chang, who is a mother.

Her store’s mission is to “support, guide and empower the mother and family that choose to breastfeed.”

The business offers home and online lactation consulting services and high-end maternity, breastfeeding and baby products.

Consultation services are offered in Lehigh and Northampton counties as well as northwestern New Jersey.

Chang connected with the SBDC about two years ago. She was a participant and graduate of the eight-week program on “Business Skills for Success for Latino Entrepreneurs,” which the center said helped her prepare for launching her business.

Bank launches women’s website

The Provident Bank, formerly Team Capital Bank in the Lehigh Valley, has launched Provident4Women, an online community to engage and help women.

On the Provident4Women website, women can access insights from women for women about what’s most important to them, including family and home, career and business, life goals and investments. Additionally, women can participate in the conversation on the Provident4Women LinkedIn group and Facebook page.

“Our goal is to connect with and engage women by starting conversations that are relevant to their lives,” said Diana Braga, the Provident4Women team leader. “Women told us they want stories and tips from women. They’re also seeking to have conversations with women who have similar experiences and challenges.”

The bank said each month, new videos and original and curated content will be posted to all three Provident4Women locations.
