Lovely Events and Occasions, a West Reading wedding and events planner, is now LEO Design Gallery – and it has moved into a new, larger location.
Owner Heather Pasko said the business, which she began late in 2009, has grown and that the new space will allow her to expand her offerings into furniture and décor rental.
“We’ll be carrying more products, and it will make it easier when we have large events like workshops or open houses,” she said.
The name change was about the changing face of her business. LEO is an acronym for Lovely Events and Occasions, the original name.
“We have a lot of guys working for us now, and they really didn’t want to walk around with the word ‘lovely’ on their shirts all of the time,” she said.
LEO Design Gallery serves primarily the wedding industry, with about 80 percent of the business in that area. Pasko also handles corporate and nonprofit event planning.
The new showroom is at 9 S. 4th Ave. in West Reading.

Forge3 of Bethlehem, a web solutions company, launched its first niche product on a national scale in early June.
Clickable Coverage is an interactive sales tool designed for insurance producers to better illustrate the needs and types of coverage a potential customer should consider.
Jeff Teschke, principal of the firm, said the product is aimed at making the insurance-buying experience more interactive, entertaining and memorable.
“Sixty-five percent of us are visual learners,” Teschke said. He said the old tri-fold brochures that insurance providers generally use to advertise products and services don’t do much to visually engage the customer.
“It’s an old-fashioned industry and we want to change that,” he said. “I think we’re helping the industry by infusing a little technology into it.”
The product uses technology to create vignettes that pose difference areas and circumstances a customer may need to consider for coverage.
The sales representative – or customer – can click on those items to be linked to more information about that product or service.
Vignettes are available for a wide variety of policies from homeowner to business insurance. Teschke has been creating new, targeted products using the platform he designed.
“We’re building themes as they are requested,” he said.
For example, he recently completed a product for an insurer in the Midwest that detailed brewery insurance coverage, because that is a market the insurer wanted to target.
Teschke said the product is adaptable to most every type of insurance coverage.
