Off The Clock: David Jaindl recognized with award at local Boy Scouts troop
The Boy Scouts of America, Minsi Trail Council, honored David Jaindl with the 2014 Distinguished Citizen Award during the Lehigh Valley Leadership Dinner on May 28 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Fogelsville. Jaindl was recognized for his significant achievements and service to the Lehigh Valley community. Jaindl is the owner and president of Jaindl Farms, which breeds, hatches, grows and processes 750,000 turkeys annually, as well as farms more than 10,000 acres of land in the Lehigh Valley. He is pictured accepting the award.
Quakertown Alive!, an organization dedicated to revitalizing Quakertown and its businesses, bought a new fountain from Campania International of Pennsburg for downtown Quakertown. The $6,000 fountain provides a focal point for the park area in the center of town. Pictured from left are executive committee members of Quakertown Alive! Paul Rose, Scott Orzehoski, Cheri Freeh, Naomi Naylor, Jann Paulovitz, Mary Ann Smith, Mike Cygan, and Nick Bianchini.
