Off The Clock: Good Shepherd raises money for pediatric unit
Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network held its annual Gala in the Garden for Pediatrics at its south Allentown campus. More than 465 people attended the gala, which raised more than $260,000 for the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Hospital Pediatric Unit in Bethlehem. Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation, the charitable division of Firehouse Subs – which has Greater Lehigh Valley locations – awarded more than $24,000 in life-saving equipment grants to Upper Bucks Regional Emergency Medical Services Inc., Jim Thorpe Police Department and Moravian College Department of Campus Safety and Police Department. Upper Bucks Regional EMS received an automated chest compression system worth $15,437. Jim Thorpe police received six automated external defibrillators and accessories worth $8,772. Moravian received an automated external defibrillator as a part of Firehouse Subs’ 1,000 AED Campaign, commemorating the chain’s 1,000th restaurant opening.
