Though it may not be a resource many people are aware of in the Greater Lehigh Valley, The Blue Book Building and Construction Network is an active organization that serves as a tool for linking the many facets of construction and includes a chapter that covers Eastern Pennsylvania.

In addition to providing thebluebook.com, a national construction search engine, and the all-new ProView, (a place to find and connect with companies,) the network still publishes 28 regional Blue Book directories each year throughout the U.S., according to its website, www.thebluebook.com.

The network has a member base comprised of general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, architects, engineers, building owners, transportation and utilities professionals, real estate developers, facility and property managers and government agencies.

Coming up in May, the organization is hosting a day of free networking and education programs designed to facilitate face-to-face opportunities.

The event takes place Wednesday, May 21 at The Phillies Citizens Bank Park, One Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, Pa. 19148.

Highlights include the educational programs "Build a Better Bottom Line with The Blue Book Network" and "5 Ways to Beat the Lowest Bidder – PLUS – The 12 Step Break-In", and The Blue Book Network Showcase.

Events go from 12:30 to 6 p.m., check www.thebluebook.com for details.

Whatever connection you may have to the industry, there is bound to be something or someone of interest.
