The Pennsylvania Automotive Association named Andy Scott as chairman of the organization’s board of directors for 2014.

Scott is the president and dealer operator of the Scott Family of Dealerships, with Cadillac, Chevrolet, Mazda and Volvo dealerships in Allentown.

The organization represents nearly 900 franchised new car and heavy duty truck dealerships in Pennsylvania, and provides its members with legislative advocacy, educational programs, and a variety of dealer services.

He served on the organization's board of directors for 12 years and joined the executive committee in 2008.

Scott is one of the founding members of the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association and served on its board of directors since the group formed.

"He's the first dealer in the Lehigh Valley to be named chairman since the mid-80s," said Tom Kwiatek, executive director of the Greater Lehigh Valley Auto Dealers Association, an organization that includes 60 dealers. "He was one of our founders and has been the face of our organization for 17 years."

Having Scott named chairman gives the GLVADA much more credibility and attracts attention to the valley, Kwiatek said.
