Scott L. Gruber has been promoted to CEO of VIST Bank, based in Wyomissing. The announcement comes from Tompkins Financial Corp., which acquired VIST last year.

"VIST has a history of outstanding service to our customers and commitment to the community," Gruber said. "As CEO, I look forward to leading our team of dedicated financial professionals to build on that reputation and become the bank of choice in our marketplace."

Gruber will replace Robert D. Davis, who retired as CEO on Dec. 31.

Gruber, who was previously president and chief operating officer for VIST, retains the title of president. VIST has 20 branches in southeastern Pennsylvania.

He joined VIST in April 2013. He has more than 30 years in financial services. Before joining VIST, he was with National Penn Bank for 16 years.
