Community Services for Children recently received $221,112 from Air Products of Trexlertown. The money is in the form of an Educational Improvement Tax Credit in support of CSC’s early education scholarships.
And PPL Corp. of Allentown recently gave a $44,000 grant to Community Services for Children to expand its role in providing science, technology, engineering and math education to children in pre-kindergarten.
Point-of-sale system provider Harbortouch of Allentown said the company’s Lighthouse feature has been named the Silver Winner in the Most Innovative Service category and a Bronze Winner in the Service of the Year category by 2013 Best in Biz Awards, an independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts.

Spillman Farmer Architects of Bethlehem received top honors at the American Institute of Architects Eastern Pennsylvania Design Awards at ArtsQuest in Bethlehem. The firm received first place in the inaugural Playhouse Competition and Design Showcase, and the top design award for the King’s College Scandlon Health and Wellness Center in Wilkes-Barre.
Keenan-Nagle of Allentown won five American Graphic Designs Awards at a competition sponsored by Graphic Design USA. The firm was recognized for two publications, including the “2012 Year in Review” for the Lancaster County Waste Management Authority, and the “2013 Progress Update” for Valley Preferred of Lehigh Valley Health Network; two for Web design for the Alliance for Building Communities in Allentown and Westside Warehousing of Bethlehem; and a consumer education piece for Essroc Italcementi Group, Nazareth.
