The Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Northeastern Pennsylvania hosted more than a dozen elected officials and state dignitaries Thursday when the Pennsylvania House Manufacturing Caucus paid the facility a visit.

The purpose of the caucus is to encourage manufacturing in Pennsylvania.

The tour of Ben Franklin's TechVentures Headquarters on the campus of Lehigh University in Bethlehem allowed the caucus to visit with resident companies such as XiGo Nanotools and post-incubator client Saladax Biomedical.

The caucus then traveled to alumni clients, IQE and OraSure Technologies to tour those facilities.
