B. Braun Medical Inc., which has been headquartered in Bethlehem for more than 50 years, is moving to Upper Saucon Township in Lehigh County.
The medical device manufacturer this morning announced it has purchased 21.5 acres in Upper Saucon Township from Lehigh University to build a new state-of-the-art headquarters and campus.
"The purchase reflects the tremendous success and growth B. Braun has witnessed," said Bruce Heuegel, senior vice president and chief financial officer. "The new headquarters campus also underscores the sustained commitment and investment B. Braun has made in the Lehigh Valley and the commonwealth of Pennsylvania."
The company, which has more than 1,900 employees, said it intends to continue operations at the 12th Avenue facility in Bethlehem, where the headquarters is located.
