The Advanced Military Aerospace Science Academy is a charter high school we want to add to Bethlehem's choice of high schools.

What makes this school unique is that its focus is on the study of air and space flight, astronomy and the effect of flight on living organisms (also known as Aerospace Science). Originality also stems from a military style leadership development program provided by the Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) which will be sponsored by the U.S. Air Force. This school will also provide a "hands on" engineering curriculum, sponsored by Project Lead The Way(www.pltw.org), that is not presently available in the Bethlehem school district.

The purpose of this school is to produce college prepared, positively motivated leaders, who are knowledgeable of the benefits of citizenship and community service, and are prepared for the careers of the 21st century.

I am seeking supporters from the Bethlehem community to help bring about this additional high school choice in 2014. Please let me know if you support this school choice or if not, why.

I am also seeking the parents of 8th and 9th graders who reside in Bethlehem and want this school choice for their kids, to go to www.amasacharter.com and fill out the "no obligation" pre-enrollment survey. We need to have enough potential students show their interest soon or we will not be granted a charter.
