Reading Health System will break ground on its 13th clinical building on Friday. The new building will be along Seventh Avenue on the west side of the hospital's West Reading Campus.

The $333 million building will be home to 150 private rooms and 24 surgical suites, including six hybrid operating rooms, eight minor-procedure rooms and five nursing units.

The new facility also increases the hospital's emergency department and trauma center by adding 15 emergency rooms and four trauma bays.

There will be reception and recovery areas for individuals scheduled for procedures.

The hospital announced the plans for the construction project in August.

Construction should be complete by fall 2016
