The city of Allentown celebrated the boom of downtown construction with the 2013 Party on the Deck on Thursday.

Held on the top level of the Spiral Parking Deck at Eighth and Linden streets, the party had an “Under Construction” theme as participants were able to look out over the construction work at the site of the City Center and hockey arena projects going on at and around Seventh and Hamilton streets.

Party on the Deck attendees were also able to sign a steel beam that will be visible in the PPL Center.
