Slot revenue down statewide, small dip at Sands

Bucking a trend which saw the casino having mostly increasing numbers each month, the Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem saw a slight decrease in slots revenue for July, but the decrease was still the smallest of the state’s casinos.

The Sands took in $24.47 million in slots revenue in July 2013 as compared to $24.63 million in July 2012, a decrease of 0.63 percent.

Meanwhile, the state average was a decrease of 3.7 percent as the 12 operating casinos generated $204.9 million in revenue.

Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono saw a decrease of 4.98 percent, taking in $13.45 million in July 2013, compared to $14.15 million in July 2012.
