Lehigh Valley Health Network will host an informational meeting for a new health center it will build in Bangor.

The center will open in 2014 at the former Majestic Athletic Factory Outlet in the Bangor Plaza, at 1309 Blue Valley Drive, Pen Argyl, according to a news release.

The Bangor, Pen Argyl and surrounding communities will have an opportunity to learn more about the future health center and the services it will offer at a public town hall meeting on June 18 at 7 p.m. at the Washington Township Fire Hall, 920 Washington Blvd., Bangor. LVHN is requesting people to call 610-402-CARE to register.

Representatives will be available to discuss services that will be available at the new center, including rehabilitation, mammography, radiology, oncology care, cardiac services including diagnostics, infusion, urgent care, and laboratory services provided by Health Network Laboratories.

The preliminary meeting will give the community a chance to hear about the network's plans and also let people suggest ideas for what services they would like to see at the new center, said Brian Downs, LVHN spokesman.
