Two out-of-state insurance companies are partnering to offer insurance programs for public entities in Pennsylvania.

Trident Insurance Services and The McGowan Cos. will offer its package of specialty insurance products to municipalities in the commonwealth, Trident said in a statement Tuesday. Offerings include auto, liability, employment practices, property and umbrella coverage, Trident said.

Trident underwrites the program and the McGowan Cos. will distribute it, the company said.

Trident has offices in Massachusetts, Texas and Chicago and serves more than 2,000 municipalities, school districts and "special districts" through 650 brokers in 30 states, it said. It is a member of Argo Group International Holdings Ltd., which is headquartered in Bermuda.

The McGowan Cos. are a specialty insurance provider based in Ohio.
