Loftus Construction Inc. of Cinnaminson, N.J., will begin work Monday on a $1.3 million bridge replacement project on Pennsylvania Route 611 in Lower Mount Bethel Township in Northampton County.

The project is replacing a structurally deficient bridge over a tributary to Oughoughton Creek. The bridge will be closed and detours will be in effect.

The new bridge will be 26 feet long and 31 feet wide.

The bridge has an average daily traffic of 3,400 vehicles. It is expected to reopen in May 2014.
