Job title: Owner/operator of Louie’s Restaurant, 31st Street, Allentown, and markets a line of sauces available in regional stores.
Residence: Allentown.
Family: Wife Judy, daughter Chris and sons Josh and Louie; four grandchildren.
On the job: Responsible for the overall operations of the restaurant, he is a former senior manager at other businesses, including the Trump Taj Mahal in Altantic City, department stores and restaurants. An alumnus of the University of Bridgeport, he has lectured and taught at Northampton Community College.
Dream vacation: To surprise my wife with a trip to the south of France, somewhere she’s dreamed of going to for a long time.
Secret talent: I’m a great dancer, but even better at doing radio and TV. I used to have a weekly radio show, “Lunch with Louie,” which I loved doing. I’m really just a ham!
Fantasy dinner guests: Barack Obama, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell and Joe Biden. I would serve them a family-style Italian dinner with plenty of wine. After dinner, I would ask them one question, “Why is it we can eat together, but we can’t think together?”
Guilty pleasure: Eating hot dogs. I once ate 24 hot dogs in one sitting. My stomach made me feel very guilty afterward.
If there were an eighth day of the week, how would you spend it? Taking a day away from the restaurant.
