Leadership Lehigh Valley is accepting applicants for its 2013-2014 Community Leadership Development Program – which identifies and trains emerging leaders across the region.
Leadership Lehigh Valley is a private, non-sectarian, nonprofit organization established in 1985 to provide for the community's increasing need for capable volunteer leaders.
As part of the program, which begins in September, leadership skills, network building and an understanding of nonprofit dynamics and governance will be taught at monthly one-day sessions. Graduates of Leadership Lehigh Valley can be placed on nonprofit boards to provide strategic direction, financial oversight and philanthropic support.
For nearly 30 years, a diverse, inter-generational group of LLV graduates has broadened the view and knowledge of the Greater Lehigh Valley and created relationships with other professionals and community leaders.
Graduates serve organizations that represent the best in health care, education, social services, environmental and arts in the region. Graduates become invested in the success of the community – in doing so attracting an educated work force that is good for business and economic sustainability.
Contact the LLV office at (610) 861-5431 for more information or to obtain an application. Class size is limited and applicants are accepted on a rolling admission basis.
