The Pocono Mountains has become the 11th region in the country to be featured in National Geographic's DestinationMaps series.

The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau made the announcement this morning alongside officials with National Geographic.

The maps are designed for touring culturally and geographically unique regions and contain an accurate road network and infrastructure, as well as useful travel information – including natural, historic and cultural sites.

The maps will be sold in book stores and other retail outlets for $11.95 each.

Other destinations that have National Geographic DestinationMaps include the Florida Keys and Wisconsin's Door Peninsula.
