Yorgey Supply held a grand opening this weekend at its new 15,000-square-foot location.

The new location in the North Whitehall Industrial Park at 4185 Independence Drive in Schnecksville is less than one mile from the former showroom for Yorgey Supply on Route 309, where it was located for nearly seven decades.

The business needed to move because of the widening of Route 309 in that area.

The state Department of Transportation acquired the building with the intent to level it.

All of Yorgey's 13 employees moved to the new location, which cost about $1 million to construct.

The new building is about 4,000 square feet larger than the previous facility.

The new headquarters features a designer showroom showcasing a leading selection of kitchen and bath product lines including Kraftsmaid Cabinetry, Corian countertops, Jacuzzi, Swanstone, Jaclo, Toto, Brizo, Moen and American Standard.
