The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation on Wednesday will display plans to update business owners and residents about the proposed improvements at the intersections of Route 222 and Route 73 and Genesis Drive/Tamarack Boulevard in Maidencreek Township, Berks County.

The project is being designed to improve traffic and safety at the intersections. The project also calls for widening Route 222 between the Route 222 Outer Bypass and Genesis Drive/Tamarack Boulevard.

The plans will be displayed from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Fleetwood Area High School, 803 N. Richmond St., Fleetwood. Business owners, residents and motorists who utilize the corridor are encouraged to attend.

At the meeting, PennDOT and design consultant engineers will present plans and traffic impacts and explain the design process of the proposed improvements.

Design consultant for the project is Michael Baker Jr. Inc. of Horsham.
