This order is for the engineering, fabrication and machining of multiple, first-article, precision assemblies for use on Navy surface ships.

The Lehigh Valley manufacturer is known for providing engineering, precision large-scale machined, fabricated metal and electrical parts and complete tested systems for customers in the alternative energy, medical, nuclear, aerospace and other industries.

TechPrecision's Ranor division will start first article engineering immediately, and plans to deliver the finished components in the early second quarter of 2014.

The company made the announcement March 5.
