EMMAUS, PA - Thomas A. Capehart, Partner Attorney with Gross McGinley, LLP, was appointed to serve on the Attorney Advisory Committee for the Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. As a Committee Member, Capehart will work directly with the Bankruptcy Court Judges on local bankruptcy rules and procedure changes. “In this new role, I look forward to participating with the Bankruptcy Court Judges and other lawyers in helping to improve the bankruptcy process in the Middle District,” said Capehart. Capehart provides real estate law services (both residential and commercial) and general legal services to small and medium-sized businesses. Capehart also represents several local and regional banks in the areas of foreclosures, collections, and creditors’ rights including creditor rights services in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases as well as debt settlement negotiations. He currently serves as a Hearing Officer for the Allentown Housing Authority. Born and raised in Emmaus, Pennsylvania, Capehart also handles estate planning and estate administration matters for Lehigh Valley families and business owners including legacy planning for closely-held companies. He is a past president serves as the Chairman of the Nurses’ Scholarship Committee, Constitution and Bylaws Committee, and Youth Activities and Physical Fitness Committee of the Emmaus Lions Club and is a PIAA Football Official.
