The PA Retailers Association named Al Boscov as the first inductee of the PA Retailers Hall of Fame.

In celebration of this event, the PRA will be hosting a gala dinner and awards ceremony on March 7 at the Crowne Plaza in Reading, supported by Gov. Tom Corbett and former governors Ed Rendell, and Tom Ridge.

Ten percent of the net proceeds will go to Boscov's favorite charitable organization – Our City Reading. The net proceeds from the event will be used to serve and promote the retail industry in Pennsylvania.

The organization will award other retailers that night, including: Retailer of the Year, Independent Retailer of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Best Customer Service, Best Visual Merchandise, Most Community Service, and Best Loss Prevention Partner.

Note: Al Boscov was also inducted into the Lehigh Valley Business Hall of Fame during the 2012 Business of the Year Awards in October.
