The ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem and the Sigal Museum in Easton, both by Spillman Farmer Architects of Bethlehem, have been nominated for American-Architects' Building of the Year award.
The two buildings are among 50 nominees nationwide and Spillman Farmer is one of just a few firms that have more than one project nominated for the award.
Joe Biondo, principal at Spillman Farmer, said that while he is, of course, "absolutely thrilled" for his firm, he said he thinks the nominations are good news for the Lehigh Valley as a whole.
"It shows thoughtful planning in making public places," said Biondo. He said the nominations focus a very positive light on the Lehigh Valley, which will receive international attention.
The awards are up for public voting on the website: www.american-artchitects.com.
