The Rodizio Grill is being opened in the former Bob Evans restaurant on Lehigh Street in Allentown.

The restaurant, which is already in the process of hiring, will feature over a dozen rotisserie and grilled meats that are served at the table from three-foot long skewers by meat servers dressed as Brazilian gauchos or cowboys.

The franchise will be run by Kevin O'Leary and Charlie LaRosa, who are owners of the Melting Pot Restaurant in Bethlehem.

The first Rodizio Grill was opened in 1995; there are currently more than a dozen locations nationwide.

The Lehigh Valley is already home to two independent Brazilian steakhouse restaurants: Made in Brazil in Allentown and Rio in Nazareth.

The owners of Made in Brazil, Joao Roquetti and Antonio DeMattos, are also planning a new restaurant in Easton in the new year.
