Starting next month, four medical practices run by the Lehigh Valley Physicians Group of Lehigh Valley Health Network will be moving into a newly built facility on Hamilton Boulevard in Allentown.

Matt Burns, spokesman for the Health Network, said the practices are a range of general internal medicine and family medicine practices that had been scattered in different leased facilities around the area.

The move will consolidate Heritage Family Medicine, General Internal Medicine of the Lehigh Valley, Primary Care Associates and Rheumatology Associates.

In addition to the convenience created by having the network practices under one roof, Burns said the moves will allow for growth.

“There were space problems at some of the previous locations and this solves that problem,” he said.

The moves will be staggered and Burns expects them to continue through January.

One other advantage to the new building, according to Burns, is that it provides convenient, sheltered parking. The entire first floor of the building is dedicated to parking.

The construction manager on the new building was Allied Building Corp. of Bethlehem. Financing was handled by Embassy Bank for the Lehigh Valley.

The address of the new medical office building is 3060 Hamilton Blvd., Allentown.
