The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board gave The Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem the go-ahead to add 31 table games to its casino floor.

The board voted 7-0 to approve the casino's request to reconfigure its gaming floor, which included the request to add the additional games.

As of Oct. 31, the casino had the second highest number of table games, with 152 compared to 163 in the Parx Casino in Bensalem, but has consistently had the highest table game revenue of all of the state's 11 casinos.

The move would give the casino the highest number of table games at 183.

The casino has also consistently seen over year growth in its table game revenue. In October 2011, when the casino had 129 table games, revenue was $10.76 million. In October 2012 the casino brought in $12.79 million in table game revenue with 152 tables.

Table games brought in $55.3 million statewide in October.
