Coordinated Health will be adding an imaging center to its health campus located at 2030 Highland Ave., Bethlehem.

The 8,000-square-foot addition to the existing campus will feature state-of-the-art imaging technology.

The building will house a Siemens CT scan machine as well as a brand new General Electric MRI machine and new ultrasound equipment and is designed to blend in with the campus' existing building.

Construction will begin once the permitting process is complete, said Kevin Serfass, vice president of Serfass Construction in Allentown. He projected construction will start at the end of summer.

Because the new imaging center will be built between two existing buildings, Serfass said special considerations will be taken to “keep the job site clean…during construction and after.”

“There will be a lot of coordination work because the imaging center is in between the two buildings. We don't want to disturb patient access and traffic flow to the existing buildings,” he said.

The project architect is Bonsall Shafferman Architects in Bethlehem.

Coordinated Health has numerous locations throughout the Lehigh Valley region including campuses in Phillipsburg, N.J., Hazleton and East Stroudsburg.
