Planned Parenthood of Northeast and Mid-Penn and Planned Parenthood Association of Bucks County have merged to form one organization.

The agency will now have more than 100 employees with regional administration offices located in Lehigh Valley, Harrisburg and Warminster.

Over the course of this past year, the two organizations have been in a management agreement working towards a possible merger.

“Through the management agreement we were able to streamline back office functions, improve revenue cycle management, and improve upon quality and risk management for our services. These instituted best practices have allowed us to become stronger and ready for the pending merger,” states Karen Robbins, of the Bucks Planned Parenthood.

On June 27 both boards voted unanimously to merge creating the new entity, Planned Parenthood of Northeast, Mid-Penn & Bucks County (PPNMPBC).

Planned Parenthood of Northeast, Mid-Penn & Bucks County will serve over 33 counties, representing 38 percent of Pennsylvania's population and almost half of the state. PPNMPBC will operate 13 health centers and is ready to provide medical services to over 44,900 patients and reach over 8,400 young people through their comprehensive sexuality education programs.
