A $100 stipend is available to Masterclass participants, and all accommodation, meals, and travel to/from Lafayette College to the retreat location will be provided for Retreat participants. The retreat is geared toward Lehigh Valley writers and is open to community members, students (undergraduate and graduate) and faculty/staff and will focus on the theme of “Geography of home and soul,” in a Lehigh Valley context within the past 50 years. The retreat will be guided by 3 local leaders in the field: Kate Brandes, Ruth Knafo Setton, and Kate Racculia.
Author Susan Straight will also be hosting a Keynote Address entitled "Geography of the Home and Soul" prior to the Masterclass, on June 1st at 1pm at Moravian College. The Keynote address is open to the public and no RSVP is necessary.
These events are sponsored in part by the Lehigh Valley Engaged Humanities Consortium, with generous support provided by a grant to Lafayette College from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Please contact LVEHC Coordinator Kate Pitts (firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions.
