Description Our last lecture in our fall series is all about plant galls! This presentation will focus on the fascinating world of insect and mite-induced galls and the wide variety of galls and gall-makers that can be found in the Northeast. You will learn much about these unique and distinctive growths on plants. After attending this talk. you too, may find it hard to stop yourself from searching for these often peculiar growths on plants.

Carol C. Mapes, Ph.D. is Professor and former Chair of the Kutztown University Biology Department. She received her Ph.D. from Cornell University and her B.A. from Williams College. She has been studying insect galls for over 30 years.
